By Sebastian Glanzer | August 8, 2023, 10:00 AM – Exciting news for all World of Warcraft enthusiasts! The release date for Patch 10.1.7, titled ‘Dragonflight,’ has been unveiled. Get ready to embark on Dream Leaps and unlock new Heritage Armors on September 6, 2023.
In the typical fashion, the developers of WoW: Dragonflight have unveiled a brief article at the beginning of the week, outlining the upcoming schedule. This time, in addition to the schedule details, the devs casually dropped the release date for Patch 10.1.7 (titled ‘Incarnation of Wrath’) – September 6. This means that less than two months will pass from the announcement to the launch of Patch 10.1.7.
The intermediate Patch 10.2 introduces, among other things, the exciting Dream Leaps event and offers players the chance to unlock Heritage Armors for Night Elves and Undead characters.
Staying True to Dragonflight’s Packed Schedule
The abundance of updates and content in these patches surpasses anything players have experienced in past WoW expansions. Currently, we are being treated to two patches between major updates, spaced no more than six months apart. Furthermore, it is highly likely that Dragonflight will have a third major patch with another intermediary update in 2024.
Perhaps a glimpse into the 2024 plans awaits us at BlizzCon 2023, which is just shy of three months away as we write this. It’s almost certain that Blizzard’s in-house convention will unveil the next WoW expansion!
Beyond Dream Leaps and the introduction of new Heritage Armors, WoW Patch 10.1.7: Dragonflight continues the tale surrounding Tyr, paves the way for the storyline of Patch 10.2, and welcomes players to tackle the new mega-dungeon, Twilight of the Eternal, in heroic mode. Are you as excited as we are for this update?
